How to Measure Your Pipes

1.		When measuring a pipe with a straight cut end, measure across the end of the pipe, outside to outside diameter and inside to inside diameter as shown above in several places, ie 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock and 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock as pipes are not completely round. It is preferable to use a tape measure rather than calipers. Additionally we recommend you measure the outside diameter of your baffle provided you have one.
2.		When measuring a slash cut pipe measure the outside to outside diameter and the inside to inside diameter at the widest point of the slash cut and across the flow of the exhaust as shown in the photo above. We recommend you use a tape measure rather than calipers. Additionally, we recommend you measure the outside diameter of your baffle provided you have one.
3.		For the V-Rod head pipe installation the Thunder Monsters would be located at the exit end of the head pipe just prior to it entering the mixing chamber or muffler body. To receive the proper instructions please note on your order that it will be a head pipe installation.
4.		For Road King and Touring Models with gutted or straight through mufflers using the head pipe installation the Thunder Monsters would be located at the exit end of the head pipe just prior to it entering the muffler body. To receive the proper instructions please note on your order that it is a head pipe installation.
5.		For Softail, Dyna, and Sportster Models with gutted or straight through mufflers using the head pipe installation the Thunder Mosters would be located at the exit end of the head pipe just prior to it entering the muffler body. To receive the proper instructions please note on your order that it is a head pipe installation.
6.		For Softails models - If your Screamin' Eagle baffle measures 3 1/8" diameter by approximately 17 3/4 in length our new Thunder Monster baffles are designed to replace the original Screamin' Eagle® baffles. Please measure per the illustration shown prior to calling, e-mailing or ordering.
7.		For Bagger models - If your Sreaming Eagle baffle measures 3 3/8" diameter by approximately 26 1/4" in length our new Thunder Monster baffles are designed to replace the original Screamin' Eagle baffles.  Please measure per the illustration shown prior to calling, e-mailing or ordering. (These baffles are not compatible with the 4" Touring Mufflers.)
